Delegated Thinking

A student who independently frames a mathematical problem and later uses AI to verify a calculation is still exercising cognitive initiative.
A student who asks the system what the problem is, which distinctions matter, and how the situation should be approached has already delegated the formative act through which judgement would normally begin to develop.
What is at stake is therefore not efficiency alone, but the displacement of the act by which thought begins.
Initiation and Evaluation
